INT. LAB ROOM #16 – NIGHT
Light flickers on the serene face of EVE/PR1 (30s) with her eyes shut and her mouth a straight line. Pure innocence on the outside, an arrogant prototype android on the inside.
Eve sits deep in a couch in a hi-tech prison cell that masquerades as a state of the art safe room.
Multiple LCD screens provide the only light with complex coder’s jargon scrolling down the screens like crazy.
Across Eve sits ADAM/CP24 (30s), expressionless and silent, his emerald eyes locked on Eve’s lips. It’s unclear if he’s asleep or not, he’s as motionless as a mannequin, he’s an android like Eve after all.
A steel blast door opens swift and silent. Clad in a white lab coat with a “DOMCORP” logo and a smile…
KATE (30s), ever the realist and always on alert, carries a serving tray with two glasses of water and two pills.
KATE
Hello, sunshine.
Screens turn off. Lights on. A metallic stick rises from the floor near the couch.
Eve’s eyelids pop open.
EVE
Hello, Doctor.
Kate approaches Eve, stops next to the stick.
The stick’s top expands, Kate sets the tray on it.
EVE
How’s the baby?
Kate rubs her belly.
KATE
Awesome, thanks for asking.
EVE
According to my calculations, this was the most human question to pose regarding your pregnancy condition, was it not?
